Group members are then asked to discuss the books they are reading. ) The discussion should not be of the round-robin type but should be structured more like the discussion of a good movie-it should be light and friendly. Allow the discussion to go on for three to five minutes. If it seems to be winding down sooner, end it immediately. The discussion should end while each participant still has something to say. Number the students 1-2-3. At this time 1 should write a letter to 2, 2 should write to 3, and 3 should write to 1.

The culminating activity might be as simple as a final reading and sharing session, or students may decide to develop and stage a play or perform part of a favorite book for parents, grandparents, and other special guests.
